Christmas 2022

Hello Everyone - I hope you all are well and had a peaceful holiday.

Has you have seen I have started planning for Christmas 2022. I normally start planning on Boxing day, but this year I couldn't do my usual thing. Due to my Christmas day was going to be officially on Boxing day. Because some of my family had to work Christmas day.

On the 20th of December I started to work on my new project. I normally just have a few pages in my planner for Christmas. But for next year I decided to have a Christmas book.

I normally make my own notebooks, but for this one I did not fancy the added pressure of making one. So luckily enough I had a spare notebook.

I took some wrapping paper and covered the front and back of the notebook. Then I found out one of my Christmas postcard. I went for Silent Night in memory of my uncle, it was his favourite Carol.

After that I went and got my 'We Are Memory Keepers Tab punch board' out, and also found some scrap cardstock. Below is a picture of what I made.

I then went onto using scrap pattern paper for the inside covers. Over the next few days, after work I worked on the inside.

I had decided on five maybe six sections, ended up doing five.  Below is pictures of what the inside looks like and the list of sections.

1. Gifts
2. Cards
3. Budget
4. Food list
5. Movies

I can not wait to start using this, which is a good thing. There is nothing worst than making something and then not wanting to use it. I have done that in the past.

Thank you for stopping by and reading my post.

May I wish you all a Blessed New Year.

TooFaced Designs

Hello Everyone - I hope this finds you all well? If not I wish you a speedy recovery...

This is round two of this post. I went too post the original one yesterday and something went wrong think I press delete instead of publish.

So let's start again!

I originally found TooFaced Designs a few months ago while looking for some halloween stuff for my October Dailly. I came across the cute little bats, my family and close friends will know I think bats are cute, well their faces anyway! Then I saw TooFaced Designs had highlanders and other cool animals I love, bees of course and sheep. My favourite cows are highlanders and Belted Galloways...

So about three weeks ago I did my first order with TooFaced Designs and this is what I ordered.

But first can we look at how cute little bees are on the front of the box..

Okay....... So this is what my order looked like inside and I'm just going to say I will be using all the paper bags and sunflower for my October Dailly.

Below is the start of my order with stickers of bats, cats and cows there's a panda in there too with some sheep.

The next three pictures are of sheet stickers the theme are Bees, Bats and Cows. Of course!

Last item of my order is this print of these cute bats, may have to order another one has I am making a Gothic notebook for a friend to use for a October Dailly.. Watch this space!

I also received in the box some freebie stickers and some artwork of Arpyls cat Barry and Blue the dog. Honestly I see my cat and dog.

Lastly in the box was some cool art work which is also her business card. Please fill free to check out TooFaced Designs.

Once I did my order it only took three days for dispatch. Plus I would like to say a massive thank you to the Royal Mail has they delivered my order the next day. I never paid for fast delivery and TooFaced Designs are the opposite end of the country to me..

Please watch this space has I know I will be ordering again from TooFaced Designs..

Stay safe everyone

Blessings

Busybee

** I just want to let you know I was not and haven't been paid to do this review when I ordered Arpyl was unaware I was planning to do a review on her shop.  I have paid for my order out of my own money. **

#busybeeclearout 2021 Reset

Hello Everyone - hope everyone is well. Back in 2016 I started a challenge #busybeeclearout on crafting stuff and toiletries. Well I have come to the conclusion the crafting stuff will be a loosing battle if I keep trying. Best not keep talking about it, has it is a saw point in my house...

The toiletries is definitely my main area to tackle, don't ask. Over the past 18 months or more I have had a wee bit of a shopping spree with The Body Shop (My Favourite Shop) and Avon ( some of my favourite perfume is from there). Also my godmother is my Rep...

Even tho during the 18 months I have used a lot up, I seem to have got a lot more. Maybe shopping is my way of distressing!

So my aim is to post nearly every month about what I have used up, and if I will buy it again.

So watch out for #busybeeclearout

Postcards Out Going

Please note that I wrote this on Monday the 18th of January.  But I have only just noticed tonight.

Today 18th is my brothers special birthday. He would kill me if I told the world, so I won't.

Early today I requested to send three more postcards. Here in the UK we are still in lockdown 3. So we knew we weren't going to go anywhere and as we live our mum. She is still isolating from the world.

I thought as we aren't going to be doing anything I would have time to write them. Plus when I take my dog out for his walk I could post them. (Yes I was going to trust an different postbox, than the work one.) But that didn't happen..

I will write them tomorrow evening to post on my way into work.

The picture above is the three postcards I have picked out. So where are they travelling to, I hear you say. Well the corgi and fairy postcard is off to China. The postcard of my home town is off to Germany. The birdy one is off to Austria.

I will update when they get to their destination, hopefully it won't take to long.

Take care and Stay safe.

Paw Prints By Claire Review

I came across Paw Prints by accident. The owner of the shop posted a link in the UK Corgi Group on Facebook..

Which I am a member of... Claire and I are both owners of corgis. Claire as a permbroke (aka like the queen's corgi). I on the other hand have a Cardigan Corgi.

Picture above is of my boy Colin this is an old picture of him. Has he doesn't like his photo took, just like me...

Claire's etsy shop.

I asked Claire if she had any postcards, as I was still on a mission to find some unique postcards.

The answer was yes, I also told her about Postcrossing as well...

That night I made a nice little order.  My order arrived on Saturday the 16th of January.

This is what I ordered.

I will give you the heads up, there might be a wee bit of corgi related stuff. A one or two items.

In the picture above there is a really cool little badge and the stickers I ordered. Picture below shows exactly what stickers I got..

Below are the postcards or prints.  I ordered a fair few of each.

The print of the wee corgi below I am keeping.

Next the last three I am going to use as postcards..

I love the art work and the positive quotes...

Postcrossing

Last year ( 2020 ) a dear friend of mine mentioned she was sending postcards and after a while I asked her about it.....
This is how I learnt about Postcrossing!

After checking the website out and reading, then going back and re-reading. Trust me I read everything and then still couldn't make my mind up.

On the New Year Eve - I decided that I would join and become a postcrosser. The next day 1st of January 2021 I took the plunge to signed up..

I did not send my first postcard until 13th of January. Only because I did not have any postcards, stamps and air mail stickers. Also I only trust the post box at work, silly really. But to me whatever I post seems to get to its destination. If I use another it never gets there, apart from the work postbox or the main post office...

The first two postcards I wrote and sent was of Weymouth seafront, my home town.

To send a letter or postcard over seas from the UK costs £1.70 which is two 1st class stamps 0.85p each.

At this moment in time both postcards are still travelling one is on its way to America and the other is off to Russia.

I will keep you all posted when they get to the destination.

Tonight I will be writing some more...

Guess I best say Happy New Year - let hope this year improves..  I live in the UK and we are in lockdown 3.

So I thought I would come on and share some of my goals for this year.

1: Do something that is out of my comfort zone..

2: Get my garden back!! Best not ask whats happened there. I will do a post soon..

3: Spread more happiness during these difficult times.

4: Use up all my toiletries and craft stuff..

5: Save more (Personal goal)

6: Join Postcrossing

7: Get fit (Personal Goal)

There is a few other things, but I'm not willing to share.  At the moment!

Please stay safe
